Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a medical treatment that works by stimulating the body's natural internal resources. Our bodies already have natural endorphins, neurotransmitters, pain-relieving substances, hormones, immune system, and Acupuncture helps by improving blood circulation and brain regulatory centers! Lauren will choose Acupuncture points to enhance your body's internal resources, so you have the greatest ability to balance naturally.

The needles used by Lauren are hair-thin, filiform (not hollow), sterile, single-use needles. They can be compared to a cat's whisker as they are just as thin and flexible. There are numerous benefits of Acupuncture and virtually no negative side effects.

Within the scope of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Lauren may use cupping or guasha techniques, electro-stimulation, Tui Na, or other techniques if appropriate. Craniosacral, tuning forks and reiki/ energy healing treatments are also available. She often combines acupuncture treatments with craniosacral or reiki for added benefit!
Pricing

Acupuncture treatments are generally 1.5 hours long for the initial, and follow-up treatments are scheduled for 1 hour or up to 1.5 hours.

Initial Acupuncture treatment is $140. Scheduled for 1.5 hours.
Follow- up treatments are $90. Scheduled for 1 hour.

Deep healing follow-up treatment $140. Scheduled for 1.5 hours. This is recommended for individuals who would like several modalities incorporated into their treatment: acupuncture, tuina, cupping and energy healing.
Cupping sessions are $50 scheduled for 30 minutes.
Acupuncture is Health Savings Account eligible for medical expenses.
We do not bill insurance; however, we can provide a super bill when requested.

Acupuncture is not a substitute for conventional medical diagnosis and treatment.

Cupping Therapy and Guasha
​
Cupping therapy involves placing specialized cups that create a suction to the surface of the skin. The suction creates a negative pressure which slightly pulls on the skin, fascia, and muscles into the cup. It is a comfortable process that lasts a few minutes. Some people experience 'cupping marks' which are not uncomfortable and generally fade away in a week. Cupping therapy is used to promote blood circulation and to relieve pain. Cupping therapy is often incorporated into an acupuncture treatment, or utilized in a 30 minute cupping session. Guasha's effects are similar to cupping therapy. A guasha tool is used to rub on the skin to promote skin surface micro-circulation, which helps dispel pain and clear heat.
Cupping Session Rate $50 scheduled for 30 minutes.

Pediatric Acupuncture
​
Many parents are turning towards natural approaches for their children's healthcare. Acupuncture is tolerated well by children. If children are frightened by needles, needle-less treatments are available through acupressure, laser, cupping, guasha, Tui Na, moxa, ear, and body press beads (small beads placed on acupressure points). Acupuncture benefits common childhood complaints including stomach aches/GI issues, teething, headaches, immune function, anxiety/depression, ADD, and much more!
Rates and scheduled time varies.

Energy Healing
​
Energy healing is accomplished by the practitioner laying hands on or near the patient. Energy flows through the practitioner's hands and into the client. Energy healing is also known as universal healing energy or qi. It is used to promote relaxation and healing. It is a gentle, non-invasive, and non-manipulative treatment where clients remain fully clothed. Energy healing can be incorporated into an Acupuncture treatment.
Rate $90 for 1 hour treatment.
$140 for 1.5 hours.

Herbal and Supplement Consult
​
Herbal therapy uses various parts of medicinal plants to support health and wellbeing. Diet, lifestyle, allergies and medications are considered in each herbal consult to get the most personalized herbal support for the individual. Rate does not include the herbal therapy. Herbs and supplement rates vary.
Rate $90 for 1 hour consult
$50 for a half hour consult
